There have been reports coming in from clubs around the coast about a bag thief targeting sports bags at club grounds.
We ask that all precautions be taken, have your team official or other recognised person stay with your bags at all times, secure all valuables or leave them locked in your vehicle if possible.
If you see ANYONE that you are unsure of loitering around your belongings, ensure your team official or ground official is advised immediately.
Theft is punishable by law, and should the person be apprehended, we ask that all legal processes to take place.
Again, please secure your bags and belongings and leave them with a trustworthy team official, or someone you trust that will remain with the bags during the game duration. read more > |

Football NSW and ‘Football Stars of Tomorrow’ require 10 candidates from football to feature in our ‘Star of the Week’ segment.
The type of person FNSW are looking for is someone who does a lot of work for a particular club , is not paid for what they do and is recognised by their peers as invaluable to the club .
FNSW are not looking for a star player , but rather , a ‘star’ contributor to the running of the club.
Examples from 2008 included Vince and Val Laws from Canterbury and Joan Hatch from Sylvania.
Could you please forward on suggested candidates to Mark Stavroulakis or Tony Peters ASAP with a good argument as to why the person nominated should be recognized .
