Lightning is established as a separate Proprietry Limited Company, and entity owned by Central Coast Football to provide services for all representative player pathways on the Central Coast including Lightning, Thunder and Far North Metropolitan Branch Representative Squads.

Lightning's representative program works on behalf of Central Coast Football, contesting in the Football NSW Super League (Senior Men), Arrive Alive Premier League (Senior Women), Boys Youth Super League (Under 13 - 18), Arrive Alive Girls Premier Youth League (Girls 12 - 16) and Metropolitan Leagues (Under 11-12 Boys).provides a valuable pathway for both players and coaches into High Performance Player Pathways including State and National Squads.

Thunder is the newest edition to the ranks of Central Coast Football. Thunder contests the Northern NSW Football SSI Youth League in Under 13 - 15 Boys and Under 16 Girls. It is supported by a development program for the ages Under 11 Boys with two working squads (Storm / Cyclones), and Under Boys 12. Both Development age groups are club registered players and comptete as Thunder representing the Central Coast in a monthly development series.

In addition to this Lightning is an Official Feeder Club to the Central Coast Mariners our own Hyundai A-League team. Already several locally produced players such as Damien Brown, Andrew Clarke, Bradley Porter, Matthew Trott, Matthew Simon and Ian McAndrew have progressed to the full-time professionalism of the A-League. Lightning provides a significant component for aspiring players to play at the highest level of competition available to Central Coast players, and will no doubt be an intrical part of football's development within the region.
