TARGET 11 is an 9 week structured program based on Technical Ability, Real Game Education & Teamwork – a game sense program which will enhance the players awareness and understanding of Football. The program is staffed by Central Coast Lightning and Thunder Coaches working in conjunction with the High Performance Manager, all of whom are highly qualified and have considerable experience in working with representative level players. This year we have extended the TARGET 11 program to include a game competition format with squads based in regional areas representing all areas and CCF clubs. This enhancement will provide many more opportunities for players to be identified from within the program into either Lightning Metropolitan Representative Leagues or Thunder Development Squads.
At the completion of the TARGET 11 program, coaches will identify 16 players who will be invited into the Central Coast Lightning Under 11 representative program who contest the Metropolitan Representative League for the 2010 season. Thunder underpin's Lightning, with remaining players considered for inclusion in this program, who as club registered participants, will work once a week in the Thunder Development program and play monthly development games representing the Central Coast.
We are confident that this process will provide adequate opportunities for our coaches to work with the players identified, see whether they respond to coaching and have the necessary drive and commitment for representative football. Whilst players selected for Thunder remain committed to their respective clubs, they will contiunue to work within a representative development program, with considerable involvement throughout the year including weekly training sessions and monthly development games. Lightning is a full-time stand alone program with the players being registered with Lightning F.C. and having no further involvement in club football.
This process will see the standards and expectations of this age group raise considerably, as well as establishing a strong two tiered representative program, which will enhance our local club competitions and provide ongoing player pathways.

Competition Game Dates:Monday 24th & 31st August,7th, 14th, 21st & 28th September 2009 (Games Commence from 5:30pm - 8:15pm)

These players are required to confirm with the Central Coast Football Office (Phone: 02 4362 2216 / Fax: 02 4362 7389) their acceptance of the invitation to attend TARGET 11. Payments are required by Friday 31st July 2009 and may be made by credit card over the phone if more convenient.
