T.A.R.G.E.T. 11
Technical Ability, Real Game Education & Teamwork
TARGET 11 is an 8 week structured program based on Technical Ability, Real Game Education & Teamwork – a game sense program which will enhance the players awareness and understanding of the 11 v 11 game of Football. The program is staffed by Central Coast Lightning Coaches working in conjunction with the High Performance Manager, all of whom are highly qualified and have considerable experience in working with representative players.
At the completion of the TARGET 11 program, coaches will identify 16 players who will be invited into the Central Coast Lightning Under 11 representative program who contest the Metropolitan Representative League for the 2009 season. The Thunder program will underpin our Lightning , with remaining players considered for inclusion in this program who as club registered participants, will work once a week in the Thunder program and play monthly development games representing the Central Coast.
We are confident that this process will provide adequate opportunities for our coaches to work with the players identified, see whether they respond to coaching and have the necessary drive and commitment for representative football. Whilst players selected for Thunder remain committed to their respective clubs, they will contiunue to work within a representative development program, with considerable involvement throughout the year including weekly training sessions and monthly development games. Lightning is a full-time stand alone program with the players being registered with Lightning and having no further involvement in club football.
This process will see the standards and expectations of this age group raise considerably, as well as establishing a strong two tiered representative program, which will enhance our local club competitions and provide ongoing player pathways.

Inclusions: Uhlsport TARGET 11 Playing Strip (Shirt / Shorts / Socks), 12 hours of professional coaching, player evaluation, excellent opportunity for entry into Thunder & Lightning Representative programs.

These players are required to confirm with the Central Coast Football Office (Phone: 02 4362 2216 / Fax: 02 4362 7389) their acceptance of the invitation to attend TARGET 11. Payments are required by Friday 8th August and may be made by credit card over the phone if more convenient.
Wet Weather Procedures: All notifications concerning cancellations of events on Pluim Park will be via the Central Coast football Website www.ccfootball.com.au in addition to this there is an SMS Bounce Back facility which will give updates directly to your mobile phone (NB: Charges to your account to access this service is 55c per message pair).
