Youth Presentation 2008

Central Coast Lightning Football Club's Youth Presentation unvieled it's Club Player of the Year in 12 Year old defender Lucy Metcalfe at their annual awards ceremony at Mingara Sports and Recreation Club. Metcalfe a popular choice guaging by the 500 or so players, parents and team officials in attendance. Metcalfe is the first player to receive this shield, now emblazened as the Club's major perpetual player award.....

Coach of the Year was awarded to Ashley Grant, mentor of Lightnings Premiership winning Under 18 Youth Squad. Grant edged out Peter Preston (Lightning's newly appointed First Grade Coach) for honours in this award. Grant returns for the 2009 season in charge of the Under 18's again.

Charlie and Tracey Borg were awarded the coveted Ian Cronin Memorial - Club Person of The Year Shield for outstanding services above and beyond the call of duty. Both are tireless workers for the club and active volunteers and committee members. In addition to the Club Person of the Year award, Dennis Silvers (President) presented them with the Presidents Award for invaluable service with a $500.00 Voucher to the Crowne Plaza Terrigal.
