2010 Competition Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Q- How will teams be grouped for SSF (U5 -U9)
A - SSF teams will be grouped into local Hubs to limit the amount of travel for these Non-Comp sides.
Q - Do U8's and U9's have different size Fields.
A - U8's and U9's each have minimum and maximum field sizes as shown in the regulations and it is possible to have a field size that falls within the acceptable size range for both U8's and U9's, so some clubs may have a common field for both ages where other clubs may choose to run separate size fields for each age group. It is also acceptable to have common goal post sizes.
Q - Will the U10's play one round then be regraded.
A - As per previous years the U10's will continue to play their first round then be regraded. The Results for this round will not be displayed and points will be reset after this round.
Q - Will spare rounds be set aside for washouts.
A - Draws have been designed to give teams as many rounds as possible and no weeks have been set aside for washouts they have been used for as many game as possible.
Q - Will games be changed over a weekend in the case of Wet Weather.
A - There will be no game changes made over a weekend giving teams short notice, any game changes will only be made several days prior to the scheduled date to ensure all teams have sufficient notice of the change.
Q - How do teams know if a game is On or Off.
A - The one place to get this information is from the CCF website (www.ccfootball.com.au) this will be kept up to date with all changes in field status.
Q - What happens if one or more games within a round are washed out.
A - If one or more games within a Competition are washed out, all other games where the ground is open will still go ahead, but all results for all teams in that competition will be recorded as a washout. The exception to this is Champion of Champions Competition Teams and Division 1 Teams.
Q - What happens if 'A' Grade or Div1Teams are washed out.
A - Any teams that are in 'A' Grades will have washed out games replayed to ensure all teams get equal opportunity to represent CCF in Champion of Champions. Division 1 sides will also have washd out games replayed to ensure all teams get equal opportunity to be promoted to MPL.
Q - Will 'A' Grade teams in Champions of Champions Complete their Local Finals before the Champions of Champions Competition.
A - Some teams may still be playing finals during the first few rounds of Champions of Champions depending on the number of rounds in their competition.
Q - Is there any break in the season.
A - Some teams with smaller comps may get a few breaks but the only break for all teams will be the weekend in the middle of the July school holidays.
Q - Will there be U17's in 2010.
A - In 2010 the U17's & U18's will merge to play M18's and this will be played on Sunday and where ever possible M18's and M21's will be grouped to play before First & Reserve Grade.
